Is eSIM available for Pay as You Go?

Currently eSIM is only offered as a solution to customers with an active mobil subscription, they can easily convert their current SIM card to an eSIM via the self-service portal, My Tusass.

What is the eSIM QR code?

A QR code is a type of barcode used to quickly and easily access information using a smartphone. To use it, simply scan the unique eSIM QR code with your mobile's camera.

What do I do if I lose my mobile device with an active eSIM?

Which devices support eSIM?

eSIM is supported on all iPhone devices from iPhone XS up to the latest model. There are also several Android mobile models that support eSIM, including Samsung, Huawei, Pixel, Motorola, Xiaomi, Sony and others.

How does eSIM differ from a physical SIM card?

No physical card:
The eSIM is built into the device, so you don't need to insert or change a physical card.

Easy activation:
eSIM is activated digitally via a QR code, while a physical SIM card requires you to insert the card manually.

More profiles:
You can save multiple mobile subscriptions on your mobile device.

How do I switch to eSIM?

Why do I first have to have a Tusass mobile subscription before I can get an eSIM?

For security reasons, the eSIM is only available via self-service. In order to use Tusass' self-service, you must have a Tusass mobile subscription.

I'm having trouble activating my eSIM. What should I do?
  1. Make sure your device is compatible with eSIM
    Check if your phone supports eSIM technology.

  2. Scan the QR code again
    Try scanning the QR code from Self-Service again and make sure you follow the instructions correctly.

  3. Reboot your device
    Turn your device off and on to update the phone's system to the latest version.

  4. Check network settings
    Make sure your device is connected to a Wi-Fi or cellular network during activation.

Can I use both an eSIM and a physical SIM card at the same time?

Yes, you can use both an eSIM and a physical SIM simultaneously on many smartphones if your device supports it. It therefore allows for multiple subscriptions on the same mobile device.

Can I get an eSIM for my smartwatch?

Unfortunately, we currently only offer eSIM for mobile phones. eSIM support for smartwatches is not available at this time.

Can I move my eSIM from one mobile device to another?

As a private customer, you can easily transfer your eSIM number from your current phone to another by following our guide for either iPhone or Android smartphone. Note! It is important that you do not reset your phone before starting this process.

iPhone Guide:

  1. On the device
    Go to Settings > Mobile Service > Select your active eSIM under the list of SIM cards you want to remove.

  2. Delete eSIM
    Scroll to the bottom of the selected eSIM page and tap the "Delete eSIM" button. Confirm the deletion when prompted.

  3. Log in to self-service, My Tusass
    Once the eSIM profile has been removed from your device, you can log into your account and select the mobile subscription number you removed from your device. Your eSIM QR code will be visible and ready to be added to your new device. If the QR code does not appear, please wait a few minutes or refresh the page.

Android Guide:

  1. On the device
    Go to Settings > Connections > SIM manager > Select your active eSIM under the list of SIM cards you want to remove.

  2. Remove eSIM
    Tap the "Remove" button on the selected eSIM page. Confirm the removal of eSIM when prompted.

  3. Log in to self-service, My Tusass
    Once the eSIM profile has been removed from your device, you can log into your account and select the mobile subscription number you removed from your device. Your eSIM QR code will be visible and ready to be added to your new device. If the QR code does not appear, please wait a few minutes or refresh the page.

Note! It is important that you do not format your phone before removing your eSIM number from the device. If you are unable to follow these steps due to a damaged or stolen device, please contact customer service on 80 80 80 weekdays ml. 9.00-18.00.

Can I switch between different Tusass mobile subscriptions on eSIM?

Yes, you can switch between different Tusass mobile subscriptions on your eSIM. The change can be made via self-service. When the subscription is updated, your eSIM will automatically adapt to the new subscription.

Does it cost anything to switch from a physical SIM card to an eSIM?

It costs nothing to switch from a physical SIM card to an eSIM.

Do I need a QR code to activate my eSIM?

The fastest activation method is by using a QR code. But you will also have the option to activate your eSIM by entering your eSIM information manually.
